On Thursday 30th October 2008, Les' Copaque was honored with the President's Award at the 5th Malaysia Canada Business Council (MCBC) Business Excellence Awards. The event, which is held bi-annually, is designed to recognize the achievements and contributions of successful Malaysian or Canadian businesses. This year's event was held at the Sime Darby Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

The President's Award is given to new companies which have grown in leaps and bounds within a short period of time and which display great potential and promise for the future. Indeed, Les' Copaque is proud to have received this award as it is an acknowledgement from an internationally-linked organisation that Les' Copaque is spearheading the growth of the Malaysian animation industry. Besides receiving an award trophy, the winner will also be featured in future editions of MCBC's The Bridge magazine and also in the MCBC's website for 2 years.

We hope that by receiving this award, Les' Copaque will become more renowned and our profile raised amongst Malaysian and Canadian companies. We also hope it will be a stepping stone to closer ties with Canada as a potential destination for presenting Geng and future Les' Copaque productions.
