Pada Ramadhan kali ini sekali lagi Les' Copaque Production akan menyiarkan Upin & Ipin siri baru yang diberi tajuk "Setahun Kemudian" di TV9 pada setiap hari Jumaat, Sabtu dan Ahad (7:00mlm). Jangan lupa saksikan gelagat Upin & Ipin dengan rakan-rakannya sepanjang bulan Ramadhan ini dengan kisah baru dan mencuit hati.

Kami dari warga kerja Les' Copaque Production mengucapkan selamat menjalankan ibadah puasa.

Les' Copaque ke UTP Convofair 2008!

Pada 22 ogos 2008 yg lepas Les' copaque telah dijemput untuk turut serta memeriahkan Pesta Convo UTP (Universiti Teknologi Petronas) di Tronoh, Perak selama 3 hari bermula pada hari jumaat sehinggalah pada hari ahad. Sepanjang Crew Les' Copaque berada di sana, sambutan dari orang awam serta warga UTP yang datang berkunjung di sana sangatlah meriah dan mendapat maklum balas yang positif daripada peminat tidak kira kanak-kanak sehinggalah yang dewasa.

Pesta Convo yang berlangsung disana telah memberikan semangat kepada kami kerana sambutan hangat dari para peminat yang tidak henti-henti berkunjung dan membeli merchandise seperti T-shirt, Beg Sekolah Upin Ipin dan macam-macam lagi. Tayangan trailer terbaru Geng serta Upin&Ipin juga tidak ketinggalan untuk dipaparkan kepada peminat yang sudah tidak sabar menanti kemunculan movie Geng yang bakal berada di pawagam tidak lama lagi.

Geng Industrial Screening

On the 20th of August 2008, we held a private Industrial Screening for our close to finish film Geng: The Adventure Begins to gain feedback and insights from key players in the industry. The screening was handled by MDeC and was hence held at the MSC Headquarters, at the Bunga Raya Auditorium. The event drew in a good crowd as representatives from many government bodies and companies attended from MDeC, MOSTI, MIMOS, FINAS, Astro while journalists and photographers from Utusan Malaysia, The Edge, the News Straits Times, and The Star also attended to cover the event. Many other MDeC staff came to watch the show as well and despite running out of seats, they brought in seats from outside. We anticipated this happening and that's why only 8 of us went there, else the whole of the Les' Copaque team would crowd the whole auditorium. Also present at the event was CEO of MDeC, Dato' Badlisham Ghazali and Ketua Pengarah FINAS, Mr Mohd Mahyidin Mustakim. The event started with a screening of our latest trailer, Upin & Ipin: Setahun Kemudian 1st Episode, and then finally the preview of Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula.

It was an exhilirating experience for many of us since our 2 years of hard work finally paid off, industry players young and old laughed at the comical scenes and watched in awe at the action sequences. The show ended and Tuan Haji Burhanuddin (Atok), opened the floor for questions and feedbacks.

What did they think? We wont say much as you can read for it for yourselves at the 2 newspaper coverages regarding the event but overall everyone was pleased. Many suggestions given was towards the editing and the flow of the film to make it reach the climax faster but everyone agreed they all enjoyed it. We gathered all the feedbacks and are now proceeding towards polishing and improving our film for 2 more weeks. After that, the film is finalised and will be sent for Film Reel transfer. Les' Copaque Production would like to thank Dato' Badlisham Ghazali and MDeC for hosting the event and everyone else who attended for making it a success. We look forward to watching the film together with everyone at the cinemas soon.

3D Modeling Short Course begins

After the success of the animation training at Les' Copaque collaborated with ASWARA a few months ago, Les' Copaque Training Centre is now spreading its wings to a whole new course.

As advertised, the new 3d Modelling Short Course has started its first day of class on the 18th Aug 2008. This 3 weeks course is a collaboration between LCT and MDEC to train more 3D experts in the future.

All 18 students were greeted by the lecturers, En Faiz and Miss Tan along with En Nizam.


As usual we bring them on our tour to the production area where all the animation production takes place.

They were shown some of the new animation clips of Upin & Ipin: Setahun Kemudian (Our soon to be released new season) and were really excited to start the class.

And here we are, in the class where all of them spend the rest of their 3 weeks modelling class. Hopefully they will learn as much as they can because all of the lecturers here are the same people involved in the real production of both Geng and Upin&Ipin. Eh isn't that Ida Mandarin?

Lawatan dari INTAN

Pada 20 Ogos 2008 yg lepas Les' Copaque telah menerima lawatan dari INTAN (Institut Tadbiran Awam Negara, Malaysia). Seramai lebih kurang 20 orang yang rata-ratanya sedang mengikuti kursus dan lawatan ke sini merupakan sebahagian dari lawatan sambil belajar untuk kursus mereka.

Disepanjang proses penerangan dijalankan mereka semua sungguh tertarik dan berminat dengan animasi dan proses produksi yang dijalankan di sini. Para pelawat kali ini sungguh bertuah kerana pada hari yang sama Fathiah secara kebetulannya sedang mengikuti proses rakaman suara. Mereka bukan saja dapat berkenalan dengan adik Fahtiah dengan lebih rapat malah dapat melihat bagaimana biasanya suara adik Fathiah direkod untuk suara Upin & Ipin.

Begitu bersemangat dan berminat ketika proses mengenai animasi diterangkan.

Tempat terakhir lawatan sudah tentulah World Of Geng di mana semua merchandise GENG seperti t-shirt, bag sekolah, notepad, topi dan macam-macam lagi dijual di sini. Kebanyakan dari mereka merupakan peminat setia Upin & Ipin.

Terima kasih kepada warga INTAN yang amat memberi sokongan kepada LCP. Diharapkan lawatan tersebut sedikit sebanyak telah dapat memberi informasi mengenai proses animasi di LCP.

An apology from Les' Copaque.

We at Les’ Copaque Production apologize for the trailer not appearing during the Malaysian Film Festival 2008 as promised. This error was due to Astro’s decision to not broadcast it during the breaks. So, to make up for the Malaysian Film Festival incident, we have decided to upload the trailer on youtube as we update the Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula page.

There is some good news however. Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula is now in the finalizing stage of its post production, and is only a few days away from completion. We thank all of you for your support, and please wait just a little while more for the next BIG announcement about Geng: The Adventure Begins! :)

New Geng trailer @ Malaysian Film Festival '08!

We are proud to inform you that the new Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula trailer will premiere during the Malaysian Film Festival 2008 broadcast on Astro Ria (Astro Channel 104) at 9pm, on August 9!

The trailer is about 1 minute long, and we will announce the broadcasting information as soon as we receive it from Astro..

And to further whet your appetite, we decided to share with you a few teaser screens from the trailer itself. ;)

Happy Birthday July Babies!

"Meeting! Meeting!" Exclaimed the instant message sent to everyone in the office from Mr Nizam. Everyone had no idea what this meeting would be about. At first pulling a straight face, Mr. Nizam then smiled and made an official announcement, telling all of us to go straight to Geng's Corner and celebrate the birthdays of July babies in the Office (Kak Ijan and Kak Irma had secretly prepared the birthday party beforehand). The July babies are:

As always we sang the usual hyper happy birthday song conducted specialy by EeJean, and the crowd applauded. It's pretty funny because we had to squeeze all of the names in one song. Imagine singing the end tune "Happy Birthday to Dzul, Nazrol, Safwan Kengsun, Anas, Ahwei" altogether. Finally we enjoyed two huge Chocolate Indulgence cakes while were also served with chicken rice, watermelon and icy cold syrup. Alhamdulillah... Semua dah tua.

Semua happy, tak sabar nak makan kek...

Kak Irma's Wedding Reception

Last week, on July 27, 2008 is Kak Irma's (one of our admin staff) wedding day. We apologize Kak Irma, though not all of us were able to attend the wedding, but our wishes will always be with you. Zarin, Yuki, Ahwei and Ida were off early Saturday morning from the office followed by Kak Ijan's family to Cameron Highlands.

At night, we had this small jamuan at Kg. Taman Sedia Hall, it's really cold here at night... Anyway Kak Irma, we enjoyed the dishes very much, especially the vegetables.

The next day is the wedding reception day. We had a great time there. Here are few snap shots during the wedding...
