This time, I tell a short story about what happen in our trip to China. Basically, our mission is to discuss with Zhongnan Group, which is one of the biggest animation company in China to co-produce an animation featured film.
Visiting the Office
On the 2nd day at China, we visit the Zhongnan Group Animation Company which located in Hangzhou. The building was really big and stunning. There were more than 100 staff (estimated) around the office that day. All of them are doing their work and I with "muka tak malu" snap lots of picture of them... The only problem we occur here is the communication. All of them cannot speak a single English words. Luckily, we have Yong Pin on our side.
Signing Ceremony
The Signing Ceremony was held on 29 April 07. Les Copaque signs US7m to co-produce a 3D animation with Zhongnan Group. It only took a few minutes to sign the deal and with calm face Atok make it happen. I was really amazed how Atok can communicated with the China Big Bos. Even though there are some delay in conversation, Atok always can counter back whatever the Big Bos say.
Opening Ceremony
We were invited to join the grand opening ceremony. The ceremony was very colorful and entertaining. Lots of performances and dancing especially from kids was really cute. We were seated at the same place as the VIPs while most of the crowd only manage to see the parade from the side road. Overall, the events is really big and huge for animation industry in China. I hope Malaysia can do something like this in the future.
Another event is the exhibition. The exhibition is where all of the animation company gather in one place to show their products. We can see lots of animation's booth, merchandise , cosplay and lots more...
Food
There are lots of wonderful foods here. Duck head, duck tongue... bamboo masak kicap... ikan masin goreng...roti pratha.. and lots more
