Ps- Geng audio final mixing is done at Kantana Sound, Thailand and now Oriental Post (under the same group of companies) is proceeding to print the movie into film reel format with a large number of copies to be sent to cinemas. We’ll let you know when the finished Reel arrives.

Geng Industrial Screening

On the 20th of August 2008, we held a private Industrial Screening for our close to finish film Geng: The Adventure Begins to gain feedback and insights from key players in the industry. The screening was handled by MDeC and was hence held at the MSC Headquarters, at the Bunga Raya Auditorium. The event drew in a good crowd as representatives from many government bodies and companies attended from MDeC, MOSTI, MIMOS, FINAS, Astro while journalists and photographers from Utusan Malaysia, The Edge, the News Straits Times, and The Star also attended to cover the event. Many other MDeC staff came to watch the show as well and despite running out of seats, they brought in seats from outside. We anticipated this happening and that's why only 8 of us went there, else the whole of the Les' Copaque team would crowd the whole auditorium. Also present at the event was CEO of MDeC, Dato' Badlisham Ghazali and Ketua Pengarah FINAS, Mr Mohd Mahyidin Mustakim. The event started with a screening of our latest trailer, Upin & Ipin: Setahun Kemudian 1st Episode, and then finally the preview of Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula.

It was an exhilirating experience for many of us since our 2 years of hard work finally paid off, industry players young and old laughed at the comical scenes and watched in awe at the action sequences. The show ended and Tuan Haji Burhanuddin (Atok), opened the floor for questions and feedbacks.

What did they think? We wont say much as you can read for it for yourselves at the 2 newspaper coverages regarding the event but overall everyone was pleased. Many suggestions given was towards the editing and the flow of the film to make it reach the climax faster but everyone agreed they all enjoyed it. We gathered all the feedbacks and are now proceeding towards polishing and improving our film for 2 more weeks. After that, the film is finalised and will be sent for Film Reel transfer. Les' Copaque Production would like to thank Dato' Badlisham Ghazali and MDeC for hosting the event and everyone else who attended for making it a success. We look forward to watching the film together with everyone at the cinemas soon.

An apology from Les' Copaque.

We at Les’ Copaque Production apologize for the trailer not appearing during the Malaysian Film Festival 2008 as promised. This error was due to Astro’s decision to not broadcast it during the breaks. So, to make up for the Malaysian Film Festival incident, we have decided to upload the trailer on youtube as we update the Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula page.

There is some good news however. Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula is now in the finalizing stage of its post production, and is only a few days away from completion. We thank all of you for your support, and please wait just a little while more for the next BIG announcement about Geng: The Adventure Begins! :)

Isu Mercun Sempena Musim Perayaan

KAMPUNG XXX 21 OCT. – Sempena musim perayaan ini, isu berkenaan dengan mercun menjadi semakin serius. Di Kampung XXX kelmarin, berlakulah satu insiden yang unik akibat bermain dengan mercun.

Seorang remaja kaum Melayu, Badrol(17) dan seorang remaja kaum Cina, Lim(17) merupakan punca berlakunya insiden ini. Menurut saksi, dua orang remaja ini tengah bermain mercun di tepi jalan kampung.

"Walaupun telah diamarkan berkali-kali agar jangan berbuat demikian, mereka degil dan tidak menghiraukan kami," - Muthu, salah seorang saksi.

Badrol dan Lim terus bermain dengan seronok selama lebih kurang 15 minit. Malangnya, mereka tidak dapat berseronok dengan lama. Salah satu mercun yang mereka baling, mengejutkan seekor kerbau betina yang tengah bersantai di dalam kandangnya. Kerbau tersebut sedar dengan kehadiran Badrol dan Lim. Ia terus mengamuk dan mengejar dua orang remaja tesebut.

"Mereka cuba untuk melarikan diri dengan kapcai buruk mereka, tapi maklumlah, Sappy (kerbau tu) boleh lari 100km/j, manalah boleh kapcai buruk tu menang?" - Rajoo, pemilik kerbau.

Akibatnya, Badrol dan Lim telah ditanduk oleh kerbau tersebut. Dua orang remaja itu dikejarkan ke hospital terdekat untuk menerima pertolongan kecemasan. Mereka terpaksa menerima 12 jahitan di 8 bahagian berlainan masing-masing.

Kerbau betina dan pemilik kerbau yang ditahan ke balai polis, mengaku tidak bersalah atas insiden tersebut. Mereka telah dibebaskan 12 jam dahulu.

"Pihak kami akan bertanggungjawab untuk memberkas mana-mana pihak yang terlibat dalam mengedar, menjual, membeli, dan bermain dengan mercun," - seorang pegawai yang tak tau dari jabatan mana.

Oleh itu, Les' Copaque Production mengambil kesempatan ini untuk menasihatkan semua rakyat Malaysia agar jangan main dengan mercun.
