It has been a hectic week for Atok and Opah since coming back from Jakarta on 11th January for a meeting with Ahmad Dhani. On 15th January, I drove all the way to Kangar to attend the Student Vedio and Film Festival organised by Universiti Malaysia Perlis. Together with Tan Sri Jin Shamsuddin and En Othman Hafsham, we gave talk about 1 Malaysia in the local film contents.
Our program over there was to attend the exchange of document with our partner in India in front of our Prime Minister. There were 3 MOU being signed and 13 exchanges of documents between Malaysia and India witnessed by our Prime Minister. Our exchange of document were slated immediately after the signing ceremony and obviously attract a lot of attention from the Indian press and those who attended the ceremony.
In India, our partner Indiatales Media Prvt. Ltd is currently carrying out dubbing works for the film "Geng" to be released in Hindi. There will be a new Hindi Song being added into the film and one of the star who lend their voice is Omh Prakash. Works are currently into the final phase and the plan is to screen the film in 400 cinemas throughout India. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and the works being done in Mumbai, we do not have the chance to see the Hindi version of "Geng". They are also palnning to dub it into 11 langguages including Tamil. We will be going again soon toreview the final product before it is being release. They are also dubbing the TV series for screening on television prior to releasing the film.
