It has been a year since the idea of making 3D animated film being proposed to Nenek and me. It was first mooted to us by Nizam, Safwan and Zaid, fresh from school and successfully produced the highly aclaimed "Misi Mustahak" while they were in the University. Seeing their work, both of us belief that it can be done and we decided to form Les' Copaque Production S/B, which was derived from "Last Kopek", to facilitate our intention to produce the film.
We started with 3 of them, although Zaid decided to carry out the research works somewhere else for 8 months, and we carry on and presently the team stand at 20 including Atuk and Nenek. For the whole of 2006, most of works were focussed in establishing the right methodologies and techniques in producing the film. The storyline has been completed and finalised, and we are in the process of finalising the script where we have completed almost 40% of the work. We planned to finish the script by the end of January 2007.
We had carried out the voice over recording for most of the scenes which the scripts have been finalised. We have finalised the selection of the actors and the animators had started their production works about two weeks ago. Zarin and the team are also busy finalising the background scene.
Last two weeks, Ito from the Blues Gang drop by to see Atuk and Nenek. He is eager to contribute one or two songs for this film. So, everything is being line-up and according to the schedule, and the team can progress to finish the film like a bullet train.... go.
