MERDEKA!!! Sempena sambutan hari kemerdekaan negara kita yang ke 50, kami ingin mengucapkan Selamat Hari Merdeka kepada semua rakyat Malaysia. Sayangilah negara kita dan sentiasa mengekalkan perpaduan kaum dan kemajuan ekonomi. Manfaatkan kemerdekaan yang kita kecapi selama 50 tahun dengan sebaiknya. MALAYSIA BOLEH!!!!

Selamat Pengantin Baru Safwan

Pada 26 Ogos 07, Mohd Safwan (Technical Director) selamat meraikan majlis persandingan di kampung halamannya iaitu di Melaka. Semua warga Les' Copaque turun memeriahkan majlis tersebut.

Tahniah kepada pasangan pengantin baru ni. Moga berbahagia sehingga ke anak cucu. Kami di Les Copaque akan sentiasa mendoakan kebahagian mereka.

Les' Copaque Family Day

Last Saturday 25th August 2007, in conjunction with Safwan's wedding in Malacca, we closed our office and head to Malacca before going to Port Dickson for our team building and awayday. Except for Ijan (jaga anak), Azim (health reason) and Safwan(dpt isteri) all of us joined the session including Nenek. It was held in Glory Beach Resort, Lukut. For Safwan, "Selamat Pengantin Baru".

We arrived at the hotel that evening and had a barbecue dinner. We also celeberated birthday for our staff who were celeberating in August, six of them.

These are the birthday boys and girl congratulating each others. For Kuntum, "jangan merajuk, semua orang ingat birthday kau".

After dinner, Atok gave them motivational talk at the mini theater. To Atok suprised, most of them are dreaming to become Spielberg one day. I believe they can do it with a little bit of guidance.

Next day, early in the morning, they went to to the beach for telematch game.

I do not know what they are doing, but Anas suddenly like to run around the pole.

They were divided into 4 teams, and the telematches were handled by the Hotel facilitators.

How come Yuki dengan Nizam? Dini tak bisingke?

After the telematch, they were involved with treasure hunt to find the clue for their presentation at night.

Mumu's team were the first one to find all the treasures.

After treasure hunt they went to the beach for a dipped.

That night, each team presented their sketch based on the clues from treasure hunt. Just watch how Mat Kuntum reading the poem....skema sangat.

So the session finished on Sunday night. We closed our office on Monday for them to relax. Nenek told Atok that next year we will be having our team building session in LA, Hollywood.

So work hard team... who knows all the dreams can come true.

OH! WHAT A FEELING

Oh what a feeling! When you work so hard and your efforts finally bear fruits. Yesterday ( 20th August 2007) was a big day for us. First we were given grant by the Government through MOSTI's e-content fund to part finance the making of "Geng". Second, our works are being acknowledged as quality product by our country top leader.

Yesterday, in conjunction with National IT Council meeting held in Cyberjaya, a ceremony was held to announce the recepient of e-content fund from MOSTI. We were among the 20 lucky companies who are successful applicants of the fund. We were given RM 1 million grant to partly finance the making of our film "Geng". We would like to thank MOSTI for acknowledging our efforts and we will do our best to produce a film that will make our country proud.

During the ceremony, the recepients were requested to set-up booth to showcase our product. We took this opportunity to showcase our latest production "Upin & Ipin: berpuasa" which we produce for TV9 screening during the fasting month. Like I said just now "Oh!! What a feeling!!" when Pak Lah, Dato' JJ and Dato' Badlisham laughing their heart out enjoying Upin & Ipin actions in the episode 1. At the end of the screening, Pak Lah even asked for a copy for his grandchildren to watch. We hope his grand children enjoy it and we are really satisfied that our works make people laugh and enjoy watching it.

As I have posted earlier, we are making a 5 minutes 6 episodes "Upin & Ipin" at the request of TV9 CEO. The story will be centred around how both twin experiencing their first time fasting and Hari Raya. Today, we have agreed and concluded our agreement to air this series with TV9 . So all of you! watch the screening on TV9 during the fasting month. In the mean time we are waiting for the confirmation from TV Brunei, TV Republic Indonesia and Al Jazeera Kid's Channel to air this program. We will keep you posted if our negotiation successful.

So, I believe, if we work hard and produce quality product, they will be no barrier to sell our product. For the team, Let us work hard to produce quality product so that we will be the number one studio in the country.

Lawatan dari MultiMedia College (MMC)

Pada 14 Ogos lepas, kami telah dilawati oleh pelajar-pelajar Multimedia College (MMC). Seramai lebih kurang 25 orang pelajar dan seorang tenaga pengajar hadir untuk melihat dengan sendiri bagaimana proses animasi di jalankan oleh Les'Copaque Production.

Pelajar-pelajar Semester satu ini rata-rata mengambil jurusan Multimedia di MMC. Tujuan lawatan ini adalah untuk memberi pendedahan awal kepada mereka tentang animasi, dan multimedia.

Lawatan mereka bermula dengan penerangan tentang Les'Copaque Sdn. Bhd., dan juga filem Geng. Mereka amat bertuah kerana menjadi salah sebuah kumpulan pertama yang dapat menyaksikan Upin & Ipin : Episod 1 yang belum pernah di tunjukkan di mana-mana sebelum ini. Upin & Ipin merupakan salah satu projek Les'Copaque yang akan di tayangkan di stesyen TV tempatan pada bulan puasa nanti.

Seterusnya, mereka di bawa untuk melawat environment bekerja di Les'Copaque. Mereka di beri peluang berinteraksi dengan animator semasa bekerja.

Kemudian, mereka di bawa melihat Les'Copaque 2, di mana proses pre-produksi, dan post-produksi di jalankan.

Di harapkan, warga MMC terhibur sepanjang lawatan mereka di Les'Copaque. Kami memohon maaf, jika ada salah-silap, atau terlanjur kata. Terima Kasih.

GLORY BEACH RESORT

Hai.. every body! So long Atuk did not visit this blog!! Well Atok is so busy planning for our Company away day. Well in conjunction with Safwan kenduri in Malacca on 25th August, we will be going to Port Dickson for an away day cum holiday. Our office will be closed on Monday 27th as all of us except Ijan, will be at Glory Beach Resort. Above is the main entrance when Atok and Nenek made a visit just now.

We were entertained by Mr. Santos, the marketing manager. After having teh tarik, we were shown around the hotel.

This is the beach and back there is the Legend Resort.

That is the beach over looking PD town.

There is a ship on the beach.

Whaa! the swimming pool is nice. Hope the boys will enjoy it and for the girls, Mr. Santos said that you have to wear bikini.

Lawatan dari Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin (PTSS)

Pada Selasa lepas, kami dilawati oleh pelajar-pelajar dari Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin (PTSS), Perlis. Ini adalah lawatan kali kedua dari PTSS. Lawatan dari Pelajar-pelajar jurusan filem, dan animasi ini adalah untuk melihat sendiri proses pembikinan animasi 3D. Pelajar-pelajar ini bersemangat untuk mengetahui dan belajar dengan lebih dalam lagi tentang animasi 3D.

Lawatan selama lebih kurang 2 jam itu di mulakan dengan penerangan proses pembikinan filem animasi, di samping itu mereka juga berkesempatan untuk melihat previu Upin & Ipin Berpuasa. Mereka juga dibawa melihat demonstrasi animation, storyboard, dan matte painting semasa lawatan.

UPIN & IPIN BERPUASA

Hi everybody, it has been a while Atok did not appear in this blog. Actually Atok and Nenek were busy, we just cameback from Bangkok attending the Bangkok Film Festival at the invitation of MDeC. Overthere we had a chance to meet the Thailand's animation companies in a business forum co-organised by SIPA and MDeC. Well, their animation industry are flourishing domestically as most of the TV stations overthere are supportive to their local product, unlike here only one TV station is interested to pay resonable price while others prefer to buy syndicated works which is cheap. However, when we screened the "Geng" trailers, it was received overwhelmingly as our quality of animation is much much superior compared to them.
During the B to B session, a number of Thai's companies lining-up to meet us for a possible co-production ventures. We also had a chance to visit Kantana Studio, the studio which produce "Khan Kluay", the 1st 3D animated feature film from Thailand. We met the team and they were excited to our "Geng" trailer and we had a good meeting with them. We were given a copy of "Khan Kluay", although it is in Thai with no subtitles, Hafizi liked it as the animation and rendering are superb.

Late last month a local TV station invited us to produce a 4 minute series with regard to fasting month featuring Upin & Ipin from our "Geng". Well, the team took up the challenge and a t the same time we are testing our capabilities to produce a meaningful television series. We intend to finish a 6 episodes series in 7 weeks from scratch. That is why all our team are so busy that they do not have the time to contribute to our blog or forum.

To date we have completed one episode and the project is progressing well and we are confident that it will be completed as schedule. This series will be about Upin & Ipin learning to fast for the first time. Unfortunately, we cannot tell you which station it will be aired as we have not finalise the arrangement. Insyaallah.. we will let you know in a few weeks time. Mumu will keep you posted when he have time and some of his rendering works have been completed.

So...till next time, wait for our Upin & Ipin on air.

Tenaga Baru

Di sini saya akan update mengenai 2 tenaga kerja baru di Les Copaque. Kedua-dua nya sebenarnya dah kerja di Les Copaque lebih kurang 1 bulan. Yang ni ialah Al Hafizi, selaku Marketing Executive di Les Copaque. Beliau pernah bekerja lebih satu tahun di bawah Metrowealth dan mempunyai pengalaman luas dalam bidang berkaitan. Pernah mengendali promosi dan pemasaran untuk filem Jangan Pandang Belakang dan Tentang Bulan.


Yang ini pula, Shahril. Pernah bekerja di bawah Saymohm dan terlibat dalam penghasilan beberapa siri animasi tempatan. Sekarang Shahril bekerja di bawah team modelling.


So, diharapkan dengan penambahan 2 staff baru Les Copaque ni dalam meningkatkan lagi kualiti kerja di sini... GO TEAM!
